Give Thanks and Praises.

Greetings and thank you for stopping by. My name is Dave L. and this blog is a virtual notebook, that began as a collection bin for several notebooks I filled while locked up in 2022 and into 2023, the year I turned 60. You, dear reader, may herein find, in no particular order: poignant passages from the Bible and the Dhammapada, offering guidance and lessons in forgiveness, truth and more; quotes from the 50-or-so memorable e-books I devoured while lying in my bunk; some unforgettable song lyrics; and a handful of my impromptu poems, awkward mostly but one or two hit that their mark. And since words are the emphasis here, please don’t expect dazzling graphics, but as I learn more about WordPress, I’ll try at some point to add some pertinent photos or related cartoons for your enjoyment.

When I learn how to edit and add more, I’ll post an email address*, should anything here strike you to respond or comment. And perhaps, if y’all behave yourselves, I’ll add some type of “viewer mail” segment, like on late night TV.

For you Bibliophiles, the title of our blog comes from Job 5:17: “Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth; therefore, despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.”

OK thanks again. Sit back, roll up and read on for a scenic ride through my bumpy mind, or vice versa.

*Update: our new unfettered email address is: worrisomehats@gmail.com.
